My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm looking for my best bud for life! Is that you? My name is Tank! I'm a dreamy pupper and I have expressive ears that can't hide what I'm thinking! My caregivers do not know much about my past, other than that I was brought in with two friends. I'm ready for endless adventures, playtime, and naps in my very own bed.

Maybe I should tell you a bit about myself first! I am very friendly and I love people- I love meting new people. Looking for an adventure buddy? I'm your guy! I went tailgating with my foster and had the BEST time! ( I even got to stick my head out the window on the ride!) I love to go places with my humans but I'm also really good staying sat home in my kennel. I am dog friendly and would love to meet any potential friends you may have for me! I am even potty trained! My foster says I'm such a sweet boy! Do I sound like your new best friend? Contact my foster at 704-795-8566 to meet me!

Here's what my foster has to say about me! " He loves people and loves getting pet and cuddled. All he wants to do is be with me all the time but he loves when my friends come over because it's just more people to pet him. He also really likes walks and he will sit in my bed for as long as he can and look out the window and smell all the smells outside. The day after I got him I took him to the dog park and he had so much fun with the other dogs and their owners and he went up to almost everyone and got pet by them. He likes to howl when he hears sirens going past but he never barks which is really nice in an apartment. He is the sweetest boy."

Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. We register that microchip (FREE!) and provide a free health exam with each adoption. Please bring a leash and collar for your new pet or plan to purchase a set at the shelter for $5 each. The shelter is open 11-5 PM, 7 days a week. We look forward to seeing you!
