I have Kodak A1186098. He’s three years old, big male. 21 pounds. Adopted from the shelter as a kitten and never had left his home which was with an elderly lady. He was terrified when I first brought him home to foster and hid behind the washer for a few days not eating. A spin cycle convinced him to come out and he made for the top of the stairs where no one ever goes. He loved being petted if we went up to him. But he wouldn’t come down. So I blocked the stairs and he parked himself in the bathroom. I went every hour and he loved getting petted. And he loves being brushed. And dangly toys. So he’s clearly a social cat. Just very slow to adapt to change. I think he’ll eventually adapt. He had two feline companions and they got along well (although slow introductions are in order). He’s very calm and quiet and not at all rambunctious. He’d be great in a small house or apartment. Small children would be too loud and chaotic for him. A single working person or couple would be ideal. He doesn’t like getting picked up but he doesn’t resist. He just gets down as quickly as he can. He’s already neutered and chipped and very healthy. Just freaked out by changes and very timid.
