My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Crystal!!! She's a spicey cattle dog mix  with Canine Pet Rescue! She's about 8 months old, 22lbs, has toy and food drive, LOVES people, and has been great with her fosters 6 year old child. . She is fearless but wants to work for you and takes correction and redirection very nicely. She has not shown any fixation to chickens or cats or squirrels on our walks. She will stay focused on you for hours and really wants to please! She offers behaviors, her favorite one is jumping like a bunny, but we have been working on "down". She's great on leash, chases and bring backs rollers. She has an off switch in the crate and has been quit on car rides. She is young, and has only been with me since Thursday, so she is still mouthy but not hard biting.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process begins with the adopter filling out our online adoption application. Vet references are checked first, as we have a stringent policy requiring all current and past pets to have proper vetting provided. After the vet reference is complete, personal references are contacted, and a home visit is scheduled with the adopter. Finally, the adopter is invited to meet all of the dogs that might be a fit for their home.

Fees range from $200 to $400.

All appointments are scheduled between the adopter and one of our adoption counselors, after the application process is completed.

More about this rescue

Canine Pet Rescue Corp (CPR)
is dedicated to reconditioning wayward dogs, inparticular German Shepherd Dogs, with the end goal of placing them in a stable environment, which harbors positive behaviors from the dog. Many times, a dog will remain in our program for months, until the right environment is found. CPR believes that quality over rides quantity. We advocate responsible pet ownership and believe that education is key to providing wayward canines a strong and successful life. We believe that canines can be therapists, teachers, motivators, and friends and the love of the DOG carries us to the goal of rescuing, rehabilitating, and training these misplaced canines. We are a small group, made up of various rescue individuals that assume the responsibility of caring for, providing medical care, rehabilitating, and training misplaced or owner surrendered canines. Many of the dogs within the organization have been mishandled or placed in the wrong environment and are in desperate need of mental stimulation, training, and a proper structure in their lives.
