Meet Beau. He is a big boned, black n sable, 7- to 10-month-old Cocker Spaniel boy. A Good Samaritan Lady found him abandoned and left in a locked-up basketball court in NC. This family lived in an apartment and couldn't keep him. They reached out to a shelter, and they told her to contact our rescue after no one was looking for him.
He is a friendly, happy boy who wags his tail a lot and can be playful. He can be vocal at times so no apartments or condos. He came to us with a cherry eye that has been repaired. He is current on vet care and has been neutered. He weighed 27.8 pounds at our vet. Due to his unknown past and no history with kids, he will do best as your only dog, or he can possibly be with a playful dog social pal his size. He will need leash training and house training. A securely fenced yard is a must. Patience and quality time with you is a huge plus so that this youngster can be a very loved companion. He is a good boy! His ideal home will be with adults, no children, your only dog or possibly with a playful Cocker companion and a fenced yard. Having a stable loving family life where he can grow up is a plus. He deserves to enjoy life, be well cared for, loved and spend quality time as a house dog. If any issues come up after he is adopted out, you must be willing to work with him and not give up on him.
After all vetting is completed, his adoption fee will be $500.
