Did you bring home a shelter dog this Homecoming season (aka October)? Share your story to be entered to win prizes from Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Jojo has been a loving part of our family since we brought her home as a puppy in 2018. She is now 6 years old. She was raised on property in California, and never adjusted to living in a subdivision in Texas.
We have a 1 year old and another baby on the way. Jojo has snapped at children three times in the past, and snapped at our toddler this week. In light of this, we can no longer trust her in our home. It breaks our heart to let her go, but we would much rather see her to a loving family than the alternative.
Jojo loves to run, play fetch, and be outside. She is a massive pleaser. She always wants to be in the center of the action. Like most border collies that we've had, she's a bit on the neurotic side, and this contributes to her poor behavior around children.
I would not recommend she go to a home with children. She would do best on property.
