My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Cooper! This charming 4.5-year-old Great Pyrenees currently weighs around 89 pounds. He is both house trained and kennel trained, and he gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and cats.

This handsome fellow is in search of a forever home where he can feel loved and a family or special person to share his affection with.

When Cooper arrived at Lucky13, he was diagnosed with Ehrlichiosis, a condition that occurs when dogs are bitten by an infected tick. He has received treatment and has experienced no further issues since. If necessary in the future, certain antibiotics, particularly doxycycline, are highly effective. This treatment is the preferred choice as it is readily available and generally well tolerated.

Cooper will be fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $200.

More about this rescue

Lucky 13 Rescue is a federal 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the rescue and aid of homeless and neglected dogs in the Kansas City metro and surrounding rural areas. We do not limit our efforts to a specific breed, but rather strive to assist any dog that is facing neglect, homelessness, abuse or death. Our ultimate goal is to rehabilitate each canine in our care through placement in loving fosters homes until they can be carefully matched with adoptive families.
