My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thanks to a generous donation from the Andy and Connie Ziemelis Charitable Fund, Egg White's adoption fee has been sponsored by the Home Sweet Home Program!

Egg Whites is a 1 year old spayed female. She is current on her vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative!

Meet Egg Whites! Egg Whites is a shy little girl who is ready to find a loving forever home with a family that understands she will need lots of time, space, and understanding as she acclimates to her new surroundings and continues to work on her love for humans. While she may be a bit of a nervous girl at first, once she is comfortable with her surroundings and the people around her, she is a typical active little kitten who lets her curiosity lead the way. She enjoys exploring her surroundings, chasing around her toys, hopping up on anything high such as a cat tree, and jumping up in the windows to check out the great outdoors. While she isn't quite fond of lots of snuggles yet, there is no doubt with lots of time and positive interactions she will become someone's best friend for life!
***WORDS FROM HER FOSTER 10/1/24***
She has grown to be such a sweet girl in the few months we've gotten to know her. I would definitely say her personality is 100% princess, as she likes to choose when it's time for pets and usually doesn't care for them if not on her terms, tho she will always enjoy pets as long as food is involved or if she's hungry. She does not like being picked up either, but that goes hand in hand with her being a sweet princess.
She absolutely loves our dog Arrow and will sometimes try to play with him, and she is best friends with our cat Tipsy and they are almost always together playing or snuggling.
She's very playful and loves her fluffy yellow toy mouse that she likes to fetch and then hides it around the house.
In the last couple months, she has really opened up and become much more confident with us. She even climbs up behind me and will pat me on the shoulder when it's time for food. The other day she decided to cuddle up and lay down on my lap for the first time which completely melted my heart and just goes to show how far she has come, it just takes time, love, and patience.***

Egg Whites is a petite little lady who is looking for a cat savvy family that can help her work on her socialization skills. She is a very shy and unsure little lady who would prefer a calmer and quieter home as she does startle very easily. So, she is looking for a family with older and respectful children at least 10 years of age or older who understand she may prefer her independence at times when she gets stressed out. She did previously live in a home with several other cats who she relied on heavily for comfort so she is required to go to a home with another feline friend. She may do ok with other respectful pets in the home too given very slow introductions to one another as well as the home in general.
