Mayor is living in a foster home. Please submit an application from our website and/or email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to learn if you are a match!
Mayor came from Kentucky with his three siblings back in October and he is somehow still with us?! Mayor is the perfect name for him because he is Mr. Confident and will walk right up to make sure he gets some attention from everyone!
Mayor has attended several corporate and adoption events and soaks up the attention! He is so loving; he is not a wild child. Mayor is well-socialized, and smart-- what more could you ask for in a pup?! Here is what his foster mom has to say about him:
"My name is Mayor. I am almost 6 months old. As you can see in these pictures, I love my foster brothers and sisters, all Cats, Dogs, Kittens, and Puppies!!! The neighbor came over with their Grandchild the other day, and I was very gentle with the two-year-old. I ride really well in the car, not much of a copilot though because I like to nap in the car! I eat my meals (one in the am & one in the pm) in my crate, and I sleep in my crate at night. I do some barking when I have to go in the crate during the day, but I settle down in a few minutes. I am very calm and docile for a puppy. I do like to play, but I also like to rest and just hang out with my human. I like to go on walks and enjoy jogging as well. I do pull a little bit, but my foster Mom and I are working on it. I am also working on my potty training. I do really well on a strict schedule. I also love toys, and stuffed toys I really like and don't pull the stuffing out of them. I love elk antlers and bones for chewing. I am pretty well-behaved and don't chew things I shouldn't. I am very easy going and just want to find my forever family. Could that be with you in your home?"
Mayor's adoption fee is $400. This animal is neutered and is up to date on core vaccines appropriate for their age. They will need a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age.
