My name is Pumpkin (NY)!

Pumpkin (NY) is a female Pit Bull Terrier mix estimated to be anywhere from 5-8 years old at the time of intake in October 2024. Pumpkin is up to date on core vaccinations and is microchipped. She will be spayed prior to joining her forever home unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDRNYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Pumpkin is good with people and other dogs. We can only imagine the horrific life sweet Pumpkin has lived up until now. A good Samaritan saw Pumpkin being dumped by her owner in an emaciated, hairless, anemic, awful condition. The good Samaritan got Pumpkin to a shelter, and we scooped her up out of there. Pumpkin is now at our emergency veterinary partner receiving the lifesaving care she requires. Pumpkin will soon be ready to start her life over, and we promised her that this time her life will be happy, filled with love, kind words and soft touches.
