Morticia (GA) is a female Chihuahua mix estimated to be 2-3 years old at the time of intake in October 2024. Morticia is up to date on core vaccinations and is microchipped. She will be spayed prior to joining her forever home unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDRNYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Morticia is good with people and other dogs. Morticia accidentally ran into the resident cat, and she didn't react; so we believe she is cat friendly. This adorable little girl was living a risky life in the wild after having been abandoned. When a good Samaritan called Animal Control to rescue Morticia, the good Samaritan was told that there is no room at the shelters and if Animal Control has to come out, they will shoot Morticia. Fortunately, Morticia ended up with Rescue Dogs Rock NYC and now she is safe and sound and destined for a happy life. Morticia has an issue with one of her knees which our veterinary partner is exploring. Morticia is sweet, friendly and quite happy. If you would like Morticia to spend the rest of her life with you, please apply online to adopt Morticia (GA) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.
Given the technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
