My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I am a tiny 6 lb female Pekingese mix named Minnie. I’m about 3 years old, pretty as can be, sweet as can be, and I was living in South Texas when my owner decided to surrender me to 4 Little Paws Rescue. I was surprised, to say the least, because I am lovely, inside and out, a total dream dog. Sweet and easy, friendly with everyone, never fussy, and I am not a diva. I’m affectionate and loyal, true to my people, humble and elegant all rolled into one tiny little lady. My foster mom says I am very mannerly and respectful of her home. I don't bark or potty in the house. I don't chew on the furniture or dig in the garden. I love car rides and I am a wonderful passenger, sitting nicely in my little car seat while looking around or gazing at you lovingly. I also enjoy being carried, going for walks on a leash with my tiny harness, and being brushed, bathed, pampered, and loved. I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today and bring me home!

* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
