My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

B&G THEMED KITTEN:  Approx. 2.5 months old  / Approx. 2.5 lbs. & growing

Hi there!  I am Barret!  My siblings and I came to Mostly Mutts in need of good homes.  There are seven of us, so we went to two separate foster homes, so that we could get all the love and attention growing kittens deserve.  We’ve been growing and thriving, and now it is time to find wonderful homes of our very own.

• OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS:  I get along very well with my siblings!  I also enjoy playing with the 2-year-old  cat in my foster home but will let him know when he’s too rough. I may enjoy another kitty in my home, so if you have a nice kitty at home already, let’s meet! / We were all initially skeptical of the 100 pound ‘barkaholic’ dog in our foster home but became okay with him once we realized he’s gentle. It likely will depend on the dog, but if you have kitty-friendly (or kitty-tolerant) doggie at home, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / Children in my new home may be nice, since I am a playful kitten, but best they are gentle and know how to handle a kitten, and – of course, let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY INFORMATION:  My foster calls me the ‘shoulder kitten’.  While I am playful, I am more of an observer and am content to watch the goings on from my shoulder perch until ready to join in.  Like my siblings, I am quite social and will dash to the door to greet the humans.  All of us are well-adjusted kittens and get used to new sounds pretty quickly – keeping a safe distance from the vacuum cleaner, but not running and hiding.  We are all cuddlers when playtime is done. Of all my siblings, I seem to seek out attention from people the most.

• SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS:  I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love playing with toys, especially wands or toys that make noise or have tassels.  My siblings are great playmates, as we all love to chase each other’s tails or scramble after each other through boxes with holes cut out of them.  I also enjoy climbing on the cat tree or playing on the kitchen chairs.  When I’m ready to nap, I love soft, cozy blankets or a sunny spot to lounge in. / I can’t think of any dislikes since I am a kitten, but I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention all kitties deserve!

• MEDICAL:  I am up to date on my kitten shots, microchipped and neutered.

I am looking for a great home where I will be a cherished family member.  My adoption fee is $175.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse

Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
