My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HANDSOME, CHARMING & FUN:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 34 lbs.

Hi, my name is Ezra!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am so happy to be among such loving and dedicated volunteers!  They come to care for me several times a day while I wait for my new family to find me here.  I am now ready to meet the folks I will share the rest of my life with – so excited!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off site and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet.

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a dog at home already, let’s meet! / I met a cat recently at Mostly Mutts and we all agree that I should not live with cats.  / I  met kids at Mostly Mutts that were around 10 years old, and I liked them, so if you have kids around that age, let’s meet!  Best no toddlers that I may bump over, as I still have ‘pup energy’ and can be jumpy and playfully mouthy when I play.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a super sweet and playful young guy who always seems happy!  In fact, the volunteers say I am so engaged with them that I ‘always look like I have something to say’. Lol.  I made a great first impression by being a sweet, calm and wonderful boy for my shelter bath too and have shown nothing but a friendly demeanor ever since. / My energy level is 5-7.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command and – since I am a young fellow who is eager to learn – I bet you can teach me more great commands. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having some accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to play and – if there is a tennis ball around – let’s play fetch!  I’m always ready for a great cuddle session, too. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I have some occasional limping, due to a dropped tarsus.  It may be my gait forever or I may grow out of it with good nutrition and exercise, only time will tell.  It doesn’t seem to bother me, so I hope you won’t mind either.

I am looking for wonderful family to give me loving, furever home!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

You may also call our phone line, 770-272-6888 or email adopt@mostlymutts.org with specific questions about any of our adoptable animals. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse

Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
