Meet Suzy Q, a gentle and sweet-natured soul who came into our care after her beloved human passed away. Initially, Suzy Q was thought to be just a bit overweight and low on energy. However, after some veterinary care, she was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease. Now, with her daily medication, she’s feeling much better and ready to find her perfect forever home!

Suzy Q is looking for a quiet, loving family—ideally a senior or a laid-back household. Suzy Q does well with dogs of all sizes but is not very interested in playing with them. She prefers spending most of her time with her humans. Suzy Q loves short walks and is a great companion for car rides.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption application can be completed electronically and emailed to us. The application are under the "Our Adoption Process" page of our website (1LuckyDogRescue.Org). Our goal is to set our dogs up for successful adoptions by finding adopters that are well suited for each of their personalities. A home visit is required prior to adoption. We will assist in introductions to other family members, both human and furry ones. Our adoption fee is $350.

We are a group of dedicated volunteers who believe dogs never choose to be homeless, they certainly do not deserve to be euthanized. We believe in giving these victims of circumstances a voice and kindness so they can have a second chance at life.
