Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Zenith has a huge head, and an even bigger heart! He is a joy to be around, and is a big snuggler. He is medium-low energy. He enjoys his short walks, but is mostly a couch potato. He is not much into toys, but loves to chew on bones and bully sticks! He is happiest sleeping in the bed with you, but he is crate trained. He is a mature guy, he hasn't needed to be crated when left alone. He doesn't destroy or get into things while we're away, he prefers to take a nap.
He loves all people and kids. Although he doesn't know his own size sometimes and can step on little toes and accidentally wag his happy tail right into kids legs. He is a smart boy and knows some commands such as sit, shake, lay down. He is completely potty trained and will bark, or wait by the door to let you know he has to go.
He has shown some leash reactivity to other dogs, but we are working on it. His previous foster says he lived with other dogs and did great with them. I believe with slow introductions to new canine friends, he would do great. He needs a home without small dogs or cats, though!
Zenith has a few medical needs that will need to be managed throughout his life. He has shown some skin allergies, which we are currently working to manage to keep him comfortable. This treatment will need to be continued in his new home. He currently takes a daily allergy pill and that helps alot. Also, some medicated shampoo baths to keep any itchiness at bay.
He has an adorable snort! Like most dogs with squished faces, he has a harder time with excessive heat and long, strenuous exercise. Short walks and cooler weather are best for him.

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
