Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Are you looking for a shy, sweet girl who just wants to hold your hand? Then Maddie is your girl! Maddie was not socialized with people or animals but she is trying so hard to be part of the family. She loves people and just wants to be next to (or snuggling) her person all the time. She listens very well and is a smart, quick learner who wants so much to please! She appears to be dog friendly…but she needs slow introductions as she learns how to be a dog and appropriate dog play behavior. Maddie is sponsored with training to help her socialize and integrate her into your family. Please reach out to meet Miss Maddie!
⺠We do not adopt to Canada due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation ⺠We adopt & foster locally only; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA
Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment.

We require each applicant to complete an adoption application, followed by a home visit. We also contact personal and veterinarian references. We want to make sure that the next home our furbabies go to, is their last, and that they will be loved like a member of the family.

More about this rescue
Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue is a non profit animal rescue organization that is run by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our mission is to protect the welfare of animals, one life at a time, from unnecessary euthanasia. From high kill shelters to foster homes to caring adoptive families, Diamonds in the Ruff handles every aspect of the rescue process. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive necessary medical treatment. Foster homes are used to provide sanctuary and ensure a successful placement. Our goal is to make the adoption process a kind, informative and rewarding experience because we believe that every animal can become a treasured family pet.
Why we do it:
4 million animals are euthanized each year in the United States.
That is 300,000 a month
Over 11,000 each day
Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue works tirelessly to decrease this statistic.
