My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maeve!

My Ideal Home:
I would thrive in a home that understands my energetic, playful nature and is ready to help me channel it into positive outlets. I'm eager to learn and need a family willing to invest time in my training and enrichment. A household with older children would be a great match for me!

Good with Other Pets?
I can be selective about my dog friends. I greet calmly at first but prefer slow introductions. Off-leash, I may need guidance to feel comfortable with other dogs, so a patient adopter experienced in dog socialization would be ideal.

Good with Children?
I would do best in a home with no young children under five. My enthusiasm and playful nature mean I'm still learning how to be gentle, so older, dog-savvy kids might be a better fit for me.

How is My Health?
I'm currently unspayed, but my friends at ACC have scheduled my surgery. My health is great overall, although the officers who found me noted some weakness in my left hind leg. A thorough check-up with your vet can help monitor this.

How Are My Leash Manners?
I walk well on a leash with mild pulling. I'm curious and like to sniff around, but I stay close to my handler. I may need reminders to stay focused during exciting walks!

What is My Behavior Determination?
Level 2. I'm a social, excitable pup who is still learning basic manners. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement training, I'm sure to blossom into the best version of myself.
