Say hello to Potato! This sweet four-year-old, spayed Idaho Shag mix is as gentle and laid-back as they come. Potato came to the shelter as a stray, but it’s clear she’s a gem of a dog. Her finders mentioned that she did well with their cat, making her a great option for homes with feline friends. Potato is also housetrained and absolutely wonderful with children, making her a perfect family companion. Monday-Friday: 1 - 5 PM
Saturday: 12 - 4 PM
Sunday: Closed

We do not allow public walkthroughs of our kennel areas in order to reduce the stress, fear and anxiety of our animals. Books are available at the front lobby for patrons to view our adoptable pets' pictures and bios.

The Animal Control Division is composed of one Animal Control Supervisor, three Animal Control Officers, and three Animal Shelter Assistants. The Animal Control Division provides enforcement of the City's ordinances on animal control. They work to balance health, safety, and welfare needs of people and animals. The Animal Shelter is a City owned and operated facility. It provides housing and other shelter services for Gillette and Campbell County.
