My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

That gorgeous little face, and adorable heart shaped nose belong to none other than Cammie Punkin! Cammie is an unbelievably sweet little puppy looking for love.

Cammie is estimated to be 6 months old right now, and weighs in around 35 lbs. We think she’s a Pittie mix of some sort, but she is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown and cannot be guaranteed. She’s adorable, with stunning merle splotches and the waggiest tail we’ve ever seen.

Meet Cammie here: https://youtu.be/RljcQDbp8D8?si=GZN9CQLLUZ1EyhOy

This perfect little puppy is so affectionate. She loves people so deeply, and is always seeking affection or attention. She’s respectful about it though, and will happily entertain herself with a toy or a doggy friend if you’re busy. Here at the rescue, she does well in her crate. She’s just a puppy and still learning, so she’ll usually protest with a few barks initially, but then she calms down and settles in for a nap.

Cammie loves to be held, picked up and carried. See for yourself in her video! She’s a naturally happy girl that will fill even your gloomiest days with cheer. She loves treats, bones, and belly rubs.

With other dogs, Cammie is as sweet as can be! She’s affectionate with them, giving the cutest little kisses. She is still so young that her playstyle is 100% puppy, floppy, clumsy, soft and energetic. She’s inclusive with the other dogs here at the rescue, making her rounds in playgroups to say hello to each dog.

With kitties, Cammie is just a puppy. She was cat tested here at the rescue, and was incredibly avoidant of our house cat Tom. To Cammie, kitties do not exist. See her and Tom for yourself in her video. Considering her age, trainability and lack of experience so far, we think that Cammie could do well in a home with kitties, given that she has a cat-friendly doggy sibling in the home as well. This will help her learn about proper canine-to-feline interactions, and set her up for success.

Cammie is a true lovebug, a once-in-a-lifetime loyal and social girl. Her perfect home will have at least one loving human to call her own, but given her age, she’s not too picky about the rest! She’s just ready for forever love.

Cammie is currently fostered in her adoption coordinator’s home. Please feel free to reach out to her coordinator with any specific questions about Cammie!
We are willing to test this dog with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know.

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation. Three Little Pitties Rescue is on a mission to make a difference. As a nonprofit dog and cat rescue, we work hand in hand with the community to combat this crisis. Our goal is simple: to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing dogs and cats of all breeds from the streets or overcrowded shelters, where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Your interest and support mean the world to us and to the animals we serve. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission to give every animal a chance at a happy and loving home!

Our rescue is dedicated to making a difference. With close to 15,000 successful adoptions so far, we're committed to saving lives. We provide individualized socialization, training, and support based on the dog’s needs to ensure a smooth transition for both pet and owner. Plus, our adopters enjoy exclusive perks, including pet insurance, training sessions, and discounts on pet products.

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
