My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Striker (age 6 Male) #3278, pale white lab

Meet Striker

Striker is a wonderful 6-year-old neutered White Lab who's ready to find his forever family. After starting life as a breeder dog, he's now enjoying the good life and is ready to share his laid-back personality with you.
Striker isn’t the cuddly type, but he loves being near you—content to lay at your feet and enjoy your company.

Striker took about 4-5 days to fully decompress in his current home, and since then, he’s been fully house-trained with no accidents. While he does like having a crate as his home base, he prefers to sleep in the same room as you—just not in your bed or on the couch. He’s happy snoozing on the floor nearby.

Striker enjoys being outside but prefers when his humans are with him. He’s great on a leash, and if you let him out to do his business, he’ll expect you to come along. He’s also coexisted comfortably with the resident dog in his current home—they’re not best friends, but they get along fine. Striker would be just as happy being the only dog in the house but is also fine with canine company.

While Striker doesn’t chew on socks or shoes, he does have a funny habit of carrying them from one room to another.
However, he does have a fondness for shredding paper,
He may sneak a snack if given the chance, and he will get into the trash if the opportunity presents itself.

If you're looking for a low-maintenance, loyal buddy who enjoys being near you but doesn’t need to be the center of attention, Striker is your guy. Come meet him and see if he’s the perfect match for your home!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All applicants complete an application and have a home visit before being approved to adopt. Once approved to adopt, they wait to find the right dog for their family. They are required to sign a pre-adoptive agreement and keep the dog they are matched with for a 3 week pre-adoptive period. If all goes well during that period, they sign an adoption agreement and adopt the dog. The fees vary depending on the age and altered status of the dog. We do require all dogs to be altered if they are not already and require obedience training as well

Go meet their pets

Some , but not all, of our dogs are present at events we attend throughout our coverage areas in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. For the most part, adopters do not meet a dog until they are introduced to the dog they are matched with. This introduction takes place after they have a home visit and are matched with one of our dogs and the meeting is held at a neutral location half way between the dog and the applicant.

More about this rescue

We are a labrador retriever rescue that places labs and lab mixes in new homes. We do this because we love the lab breed and want to be sure dogs in need of a new home find the right home for them.
