My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our little Cory is a wonderful blessing. She loves to cuddle in bed at night and on our laps in the evening. Both of her eyes were damaged by infections very early on. One was completely lost while the other has residual damage, limiting her eyesight. The only significant effects are that she can easily be surprised (so she should be approached from her front) and she does not like being picked up (likely due to not knowing what the heck is happening). She loves playing with wand toys as well as spending hours chasing balls and springs. She gets along with nice cats and makes friends fast. She hasn't been introduced to dogs or kids, but considering how she can be easily startled she'd do better with older, calmer children and dogs. Cory is an absolute charmer though, and it has been such a rewarding experience to foster her (she the only one that likes snuggles in bed!!). She would be such a great addition to a loving home!
All of our cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Please visit our website https://www.friendsoffelinesrescue.com/ to fill out an adoption application.

More about this rescue

Founded in 2020, Friends of Felines Rescue initially began in Rio Linda and now proudly serves both Rio Linda and its surrounding areas. Our mission is simple: to tackle cat overpopulation while supporting local communities. We're all about nurturing and protecting our furry friends by providing loving foster homes for orphaned, sick, and injured cats until they're healthy and ready for their forever homes. We're big advocates for spaying and neutering, not just for our beloved pets but also for our community cat colonies. As a volunteer-driven nonprofit, we're dedicated to the art of Trap-Neuter-Return, lending a helping paw by providing free training on trapping, traps for those in need, and information on low-cost surgeries. We rescue kittens and friendly strays, prepping them for loving families. Our aim? Spreading love and care for our cat friends!
