My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Message for details:
This pet is available for adoption in a foster home. To adopt him, please call us at 619 299 7012 or email us at sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org and provide a good callback number.

How Redd arrived:
Redd was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team.

Why Redd might be the one for you:
Redd is a very pretty little brown dog who is all about loving his human(s). Redd is in a foster home and is transforming from being a shy and fearful guy to a very loving guy who wants nothing but love and pets. He follows his foster mom from room to room with many rollovers for belly rubs involved. He is good about walking on a leash but still fearful with strangers who he meets. He is getting better with that. He'll thrive in a slow, quiet household with patient people who have lots of time for loving and petting Redd.. Redd might prefer being the only dog in the household so he can get all the love and attention. If you're ready for a pretty little brown dog who always wants to be close to his human, Redd might be the one for you! If you want to meet little Redd, contact us at the above information.

At SDHS:
Redd has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered and is now ready for his new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
