My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Mason, a charming 1 and half year old Retriever Mix who is 70 pounds. With his beautiful tan and black coat, Mason is not just a handsome pup he's also a sweetheart with a heart of gold. Housetrained and ready for a loving home, he loves nothing more than snuggling up on a cozy dog bed in the bedroom after a day of fun.

Mason enjoys romping around with his furry friends in his foster home and is great with both cats and his human foster siblings. His favorite pastimes include chewing on bones, lounging in the yard, and taking leisurely short walks.

While Mason can be a bit reserved at first, once he trusts you, he transforms into a loyal and friendly companion.

Mason would truly thrive in a calm and nurturing environment, ideally with a female dog friend to help him feel more secure. He connects best with female dogs and takes a little longer to warm up to male dogs. His foster mom notes that he trusts women more readily, but with the help of his foster dad, Mason is making wonderful progress.

If you're looking for a loving, happy-go-lucky companion who just needs a little time to shine, Mason could be the perfect addition to your family. Come meet him and see if you can provide the safe, loving home he deserves!

His minimum adoption fee is 295$ plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
