Meet Roxy, the Resilient and Loving Lap Dog!

Roxy’s story is one of survival and hope. During Hurricane Elen, she was found floating in the floodwaters, feared to be gone. But when a kind soul brought her into their home, Roxy miraculously showed signs of life. Now safe and recovering, she is ready to find a forever family to give her the love she deserves.

Born on October 16, 2014, Roxy is a sweet and affectionate little lady. She’s leash-trained, does well in the car, and enjoys fetching toys. Whether it's snuggling on your lap or playing with her favorite toy, Roxy’s friendly and even-tempered personality makes her the perfect companion. She’s obedient, intelligent, playful, and eager to please, with a touch of goofy charm that will bring joy to any home.

Many factors determine which applicant will be matched with a particular pet. If you are not able to adopt a pet today, it does not mean that you are not considered a good pet owner or that your home is not acceptable. Our goal is to place all animals into homes that will best suit their individual needs and personality. We will get back with you as soon as possible. Most of our staff are volunteers
