Violet is a sweet, shy puppy who loves to find cozy hiding spots when she feels unsure. But once she comes out of her shell, she’s full of energy, enjoying rough-and-tumble playtime with her dog siblings. Though she may be hesitant about being picked up at first, Violet becomes very affectionate once she gets to know you, happily snuggling when she’s relaxed. She loves gentle pets, belly rubs, and chewing on her favorite toys. Violet is a gentle soul looking for a patient home where she can bloom.
Violet and her family were living under the house of an elderly woman before coming into foster care. Violet spends most of her day running around with her siblings, playing, and hiding when it’s time to go back up in the playpen. She is quite shy and likes to hide in small spaces.
Violet was a bit sickly since she and her siblings were living under a house, but she’s getting healthier every day. She is pretty shy and independent, so having another dog and a patient person might help her come out of her shell a little faster. While it’s not completely necessary, having a companion could help her adjust better.
If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate, and playful puppy to join your family, Violet might be the perfect match for you!
Violet is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 11/2/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 5pm and 9pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.

*Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
