Meet Gatsby!

If you’re looking for the sweetest, most gentle companion, Gatsby is your guy. This low-riding cutie—a mix of basset hound and pit bull—has the best of both worlds: the stubby legs and soulful eyes of a basset with the big heart of a pittie.

Gatsby is very shy, but once he trusts you, he is nothing but love. He doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body—just a heart full of sweetness. He loves lounging on the sofa, collecting toys, and watching the world go by.

Because Gatsby is on the timid side, he would thrive in a home with another confident dog to show him the ropes. With a little patience and a lot of love, he will blossom into the loyal, affectionate pup he’s meant to be.

Their adoption process

1.
Interview

We will do an over the phone or in person interview with our adoption counselor.

2.
Home Check

We will need a video of your home. We need to see the front numbers of your home, a quick inside walk through and a detailed backyard video.

3.
Meet the Pet

Meet and greets are done at events or at foster homes. These include all members of the family including all pets.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Adoption contract will be completed before dog is allowed to come home.

5.
Pay Fee

Adoption fee is range by the age of the dog.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Pets will only be taken home at our adoption events so all paperwork can be given.

Additional adoption info

If for any reason we see signs of the dog or puppy not doing well in the meet and greet we will remove them from the situation. Foster to adopt is available for many adult dogs.
