My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are craving endless love and affection, these beautiful CH bonded-brothers are for you.

Gatsby is an absolutely love and has no idea that he is any different from any other teen kitty. He is remarkably able to get around and climb on couches for cuddles, is an avid pillow sleeper, adores his time in the sun and absolutely loves to play. He does need pillows around anywhere he climbs up as he still hasn’t mastered climbing back down.

He thoroughly enjoys his time with foster mom while she works downstairs and makes sure he waddles-walks over to rub against her legs at her desk. He regularly reminds foster mom just how he is, how much love he can give, and has been doing really great picking up on just how to be his best kitty self. He is also excellent with his foster family’s gentle resident cat. Gatsby gets underfoot quickly, sometimes sliding in right where you’re about to step. He races over to the door the second he hears footsteps to greet you. He loves to play with feather toys and smart toys and thinks bugs are hilarious! He is vocal and charming and sweet at can be. He is excellent at using his litter and having wee wee pads around the box has helped prevent any accidents, though he does occasionally flop over when concentrating. He also is a rockstar when it comes to eating out of his bowl and although sometimes he stumbles or flops over, he is able to get himself back up. He does very well on carpet and blankets, and is able to walk carefully on or slide across hardwood floors, though it is more difficult for him. He is so attached to his brother Otis, and spends just about every waking moment with him. They are absolutely inseparable, though Gatsby is certainly the more energetic and playful of the two brothers, and is so incredibly resilient.

These boys are truly some of the sweetest little angels. They do require some extra cleaning and care as they are still learning to groom themselves effectively - but the love they provide is worth every minute. They would be perfect in an adult home or older teens as they are a little too fragile for little kiddos who may not understand their needs. They would probably do best without other animals unless they are respectful and calm, as they do fall often and can be knocked down. An older and calmer cat would likely be just fine, as they have thrived with a gentle cat who wants to groom and care for them. A home without a dog would be best as they cannot run or jump away, though they have had exposure to dogs and are very gentle with them.

Both walking all over and stumbling lots but happy as can be.  Anyone who’s ever met a CH kitten knows they are some of the sweetest, most determined kitties you’ll ever meet. They have no idea others don’t have trouble with their motor skills and coordination. And all they want to do is be with you.

You can see more pictures and videos of our fosters on our facebook page:  Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue

All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
