Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Calliope is looking for her forever home.
Calliope is a special cat with a cute face and a unique look. She started her life on the streets after giving birth, and was set to be returned to the streets by the shelter after she finished nursing her kittens. But she deserves so much more than that.
Calliope is a little picky when it comes to people, which is pretty normal for calicos like her. She likes to let people know her boundaries, but once she trusts you, she will show you lots of love and affection.
Sadly, she has been returned once already because she got overstimulated and the family tried to pet her in the car. She has been overlooked at adoption events because she hates the loud crowds and is still recovering from her spay. We’re hoping to find her home through other means because it’s very heartbreaking to see.
Calliope is looking for a quieter home with people who understand cats, preferably as the only cat or with other adult cats who will give her space when she expresses it. She’s actually very low maintenance and gets attached to one or two people only, and thrives as a companion more so than a playful cat.
If you or someone you know might be interested, please reach out! She is fixed, fully vaccinated and ready to settle in with her new family. Her rehoming fee is $50.
