My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Eleanor Popowich and her puppies! This beautiful girl and her 4 handsome boys came to Cameron Animal Rescue after her owner passed away - just four days after she had given birth. Despite all of the changes in her life, Eleanor has been a wonderful mother to these little guys, and now that they are 11 weeks old, they are all ready to find their forever families.

Eleanor and her boys- Apollo, Achilles, Atlas, and Ares - are all sweet, social, and affectionate. They are all healthy. Their adoption includes the full series of DHLPPi (distepmer/parvo/more), Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; fecal testing and treatment; microchipping; spay/neuter; and heartworm and flea and tick preventive.

Eleanor and the puppies love people, but because the puppies are so small, they cannot be adopted to families with young children. The puppies can be adopted to families with other dogs or cats; Eleanor has not been dog or cat tested, but that can be arranged upon request. Adopters with previous dog experience (and an extensive vet reference) are preferred.

Ares is a very social, active puppy. He loves to run and play. He is a confident boy, and loves people. He is still learning the differences between playing with other puppies and playing with people, and he can be mouthy, but he is learning quickly. He will trive with an active family who will keep him engaged and will give him all the exercise he needs.

More about this rescue

Cameron Animal Hospital has been located on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, New Jersey, since 1936. The family-owned hospital is the first purposfully built animal hospital in the state of NJ, and provides veterinary services to cats, dogs, and other small animals, including rabbits, rats, ferrets, and more.

Cameron Animal Hospital is not a shelter, but works extensively with the rescue community in Essex County by providing veterinary care to local shelters, and finding homes to a variety of animals (cats, dogs, and small animals) who have come into our care.
