Meet Ember! Just in time to haunt your house for Halloween, here's a sleek all black cat with big bright green eyes. Don't let her spooky demeanor fool you, this girl is pretty goofy. Ember has tons of energy and loves zooming around the house and playing with all sorts of toys. Her favorites are feathery wand toys and anything that moves around, but she's happy to occupy herself with kickers, catnip toys, and crinkle balls.
Ember is also super friendly and will come ask for attention and pets, cuddle on the couch, and sleep next to you at night. If you're worried about a black cat crossing your path she is *not* the cat for you, as she will follow people and zip around wherever they are. She isn't a lap cat yet and doesn't really enjoy being picked up, but we think she could likely get there soon.
Ember would do best with an adopter or household with a bit of extra patience, plenty of space, and no small children. She doesn't quite know how to contain all her spooky energy which sometimes means she can get a little overstimulated when she gets wound up. Ember will require all the attention of any humans or spirits that live in the house, and doesn't want to compete for it with other cats or dogs. She is also a bit food obsessed, but has done well with a timed feeder.
Ember is estimated to be about two years old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Looking for a little shadow to call your own? Consider Ember!

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.
2.
Approve Application
We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.
3.
Interview
We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.
4.
Meet the Pet
Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!
6.

7.
Take the Pet Home
Additional adoption info
We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
