My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nora has done her duty toward her kittens, and is ready to find a forever home of her own. She was a good mama, but, unlike humans, once those babies are 3 months old, she is done! She is now spayed, a sweet and gentle girl, just 3 years old herself. Nora likes people, and will rub against you to say she would like some attention, please. She will cuddle with you, and lay beside you when you sit down to relax. She is calm and loving, and doesn't ask much...just some basics, food, water, litter, and some pets and snuggles when you can. She will purr to show her gratitude.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. You can also contact us directly regarding a pet seen here and we will set up a time for you to meet them in person. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
