Meet Gemma She is a 3-year-old, 80-pound gentle giant, and now that all of her puppies have found their forever homes, it’s her turn to find her happily ever after! This sweet girl is spayed, up-to-date on her shots, and microchipped.

Gemma is housebroken and crate-trained, and while she isn’t much of a barker or whiner, she does enjoy “talking” to let you know what’s on her mind. She absolutely loves car rides and is great on a leash, making her the perfect adventure buddy. Gemma shines in public and is fantastic with people and other dogs, though her experience with cats and small animals is unknown.

Due to her size, Gemma would do best in a home with older children and larger pets. She’s looking for a family committed to continuing her training and supporting her dietary needs—no poultry and a limited ingredient diet are essential for her health.

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We take them into our program, get them the necessary medical care they need and adopt them back out to loving forever homes. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
