Hello everyone! My name is Lane and I’m a sweet little 4-month-old petite Lab mix weighing in at 11 lbs. My mom wasn’t very big, so I don’t think I will be either.
I came to my foster home in Monroe, MI with my two sisters, and we’ve made some pawsome new friends here – a sweet foster dog sister and a fun dog foster brother! We were rescued in Texas with our mom when things weren’t going so well, but Project Hope swooped in and saved us. Now, I’m ready to find my forever family!
I like to take my time eating – no need to rush, right? I’m also working on potty training, but when I can’t hold it, I use the puppy pad my foster mom puts out for us. I’ve started going outside without a leash, and when my foster mom opens the door, I run right back inside with the others for a yummy treat!
I love my foster brother and sister, but sometimes they run so fast in the yard that I just watch from the porch to stay safe. I’m a big fan of cuddling, and I’m happy to sit quietly on your lap if that’s what you want. I love chewing on bones and toys, so I’ll be entertained as long as I have something to nibble on. I met the neighbors and thought their little boy and girl were great!
There are also cats upstairs, but they’re bigger than me, so we haven’t had a chance to meet yet.
I may be the smallest of my litter, but I have the biggest personality. I’m spayed, fully-vetted, microchipped and my adoption fee is $350.

We require that the interested adopter come to meet the dog and then fill out an adoption application. We will review the application and then pass on to the dog's foster family (if applicable). We then contact the potential adopter's vet and we will also do a home visit. If all goes well, the adopter signs our adoption contract stating that, among other things, the dog will receive regular vet care and must be returned to us if things do not work out.

More about this rescue
We focus primarily on rescuing senior and special needs dogs in kill facilities. We are located on 30 acres of land in rural southern Michigan. We are a care-for-life facility, so any dog that does not or that we deem cannot be adopted will live with us for the rest of his/her life. Because we rescue the dogs that are not in high demand, it normally takes our dogs longer to find that perfect family. We believe that it takes a special family to adopt our special dogs.
