My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jimi, a 2 year old energetic and playful orange boy with a big personality! Jimi has a typical goofy "orange cat" purrsonality. He's super friendly, loves socializing, and will happily chat with you throughout the day. He thrives on playtime and is a great companion for anyone looking for loads of entertainment :) He loves to carry around his bff Mr. Mouse.

Jimi does well with other cats when given a proper introduction and would likely adjust well to living with a dog. However, he sometimes has a habit of thinking hands are toys, especially when he gets bored. Because of this, he needs an adopter who can provide lots of playtime and reinforce that hands are for petting not for play, by redirecting him to "kicker toys" like Mr. Mouse instead. Due to this playful quirk, Jimi would do best in a home without kids under the age of 13.

Jimi recently got a full dental cleaning and exam and a clean bill of health.

If you're ready for an active and affectionate cat to keep you company, Jimi is your guy!

Jimi is FIV positive, which does not affect his life expectancy or his ability to live with other cats. FIV is not considered special needs. Learn more about FIV: https://www.denverkittens.org/post/fiv-what-is-it

More about this rescue

Denver Kittens is focused on reducing animal suffering by pulling animals from high-euthanasia shelters, particularly harder-to-adopt animals, such as those with FIV or bonded pairs, and finding them loving homes in the Denver Metro Area. We also aim to reduce over-population, and therefore reduce animal suffering and euthanasia, by supporting trap, neuter, return efforts in our community and increasing access to spay and neuter.
