My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Levi is looking for his forever home! Levi was born 11/2023 so he will be 1 year old in about 3 weeks. He is a Running Walker Foxhound and seems to be on the smaller side of the breed weighing around 50 pounds.

Levi is great in the car, and he will need a home with plenty of space for him to run and play. Levi is good with other dogs and a very smart boy! He already knows many commands. Levi is currently taking private training sessions at Dog Gone Crazy. A Canine and Feline FUNhouse and doing great! He's mastering walking nice on a leash and working on a great training foundation.

Levi does best with children 16 years old or older as smaller children make him uncomfortable. Levi is very friendly and doesn't jump on his people for attention. Levi will make a great outdoor active partner for some lucky family!

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Begin the adoption process by submitting an application, found on our website, or contacting the adoption consultant listed for the dog.

2.
Interview

Your application will be reviewed and the adoption consultant will contact you for a phone interview.

3.
Meet the Pet

The adoption consultant will arrange a home visit and meet and greet where all household members (including other pets) can meet the dog

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Once the meet and greet has taken place and your application is approved, an adoption contract is completed and the adoption fee is paid.

5.
Take the Pet Home

After a successful meeting and signed contract, the adoption is official and the dog is home. Steps 3, 4, and 5 can occur the same day.

If you are interested in meeting and adopting one of our dogs, you must be at least 18 years of age.

Our adoption process begins by completing an application, which can be found on our website, or you can contact us at therescueinn@gmail.com. Your application will be reviewed and someone will contact you for a phone interview and possible meet and greet. We will also check personal and vet references and conduct a home visit. Once your application is approved, an adoption contract is entered into.

Adoption fee varies based on the amount of medical care that the dog requires. Fees range from $250 to $400.

Fecal/Worming
Heartworm test (if animal is old enough)
Heartworm prevention
Flea prevention (as needed)
Microchipping

The Rescue Inn, Inc. ("TRI") is an Ohio non-profit, foster-based rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in need.

We are run by a dedicated group of volunteers who are passionate about our four-legged friends. Our mission is to save dogs from high kill shelters and abuse/neglect situations and place those animals into loving and permanent homes. We promote responsible animal ownership and provide medical treatment, foster care and training to unwanted, abandoned, lost or surrendered animals.

Our animals are spayed/neutered, receive appropriate veterinary care and are placed into a safe, secure foster home while waiting for their permanent home. We also strive to work with other area shelters and rescues to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to enhance our rescue mission.
