POMPANO NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:  Pompano         Best Guess for Breed:  Chihuahua mix 

Best Guess for Age:  2 years as of October 2024        SEX:  Male

Approximate Weight:  13.4 lbs

Gets Along With:   Pompano does well with other dogs. We haven't seen him with cats but he can be tested. We would be cautious placing Pompano in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare small breed dogs with their level of energy or noise.  Children would need to be supervised closely to ensure their interactions with the dog are calm and gentle in nature.  We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant. 

Currently Living at:   Texas shelter; will come to the DC area!

Pompano is Looking For:   His forever home! This cutie landed in the shelter by no fault of his own, but he's closed that chapter. He's eager to once again have his own humans for sniffy walks and romps in parks and all the adventures they dream up. And his size is a huge plus - if he can't scramble over boulders, he can easily be toted over!

He also wants to make pup and people pals along the way, quality kibble, and a cushy dog bed. But you know what he wants most of all? To know he's safe and loved and under his own roof. In exchange, he promises adoring gazes and snuggles and loyal companionship. What do you say? Is there a Pompano-shaped gap in your lap and your life?
