Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This little guy is quite adorable, as his fosters will happily tell you! Lemmy, as his fosters often call him, is fairly calm but not at all shy and loves people. He thinks the best thing in the world is to sunbathe on a window seat within arm's reach of his person so he can receive lots of pets, scritches, and love. He'll happily return your love with gentle bunts, nuzzles, and darling companionship! When you pet his face, he gets so blissed out that he'll flop on his side and nuzzle your hand to keep going. Give him a back rub and you'll see his "elevator butt go straight up with delight. He'll also show his belly - and it's not a trap! He has a tabby splotch in the middle of his tummy that marks the spot where you pet him (very handy, actually).
While in foster care, Lemon has become an experienced office buddy. He's pretty chill, preferring to snooze or look out the window rather than get on your desk or be in the way. However, he's always conveniently located for scritches and love, and he's a good conversationalist too. He's quite a talkative boy who chirps and trills when his people talk to him, and he revs his purr motor a lot during lap time. He's a sweet, delightful cat who is always so happy to see you!
While he hasn't shown a lot of interest in playing with toys, Lemon has excellent house manners. He is fastidious about using the litter box, happily uses a scratching post, and isn't inclined to get into mischief. Curious, Lemon likes to explore and scope out new environments, whether that's in his foster's home or the vet's office. However, if you tell him "no," he seems to know what that means and listens. Such a good boy! Plus, he seems to get along fine with other kitties. His reaction so far when meeting some of his foster's resident cats is to hang out and chirp at them.
Lemon came to APA! in need of a little TLC - he was underweight with some matted hair and tummy troubles. He's been responding well to medications for his tummy issues and has gained weight on a special diet while in foster care. He enjoys being brushed, so he's now mat-free, no longer grubby, and highly pettable with a soft coat. He seems to genuinely appreciate being cared for and gets so excited when he sees his food!
He's such a sweet boy who likes to demonstrate his excellent loafing skills regularly, hence his nicknames Lemon Loaf and Lemon Pie. Plus, he is very smoochable! Reach out today to meet this darling older guy!
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
