A23042 Wanda is a grey tabby colored, approximately 2-year-old, 7-pound, spayed female, Domestic Short-Haired Cat.
She entered the shelter a stray on 10-21-2024 and was altered by our medical staff.
Wanda is a friendly, timid, sweet girl here at the shelter. Our staff says she is really scared in this shelter environment. With a little patience, staff had her leaning into pets and rubbing her head on their arm for more affection. Right now, she hides behind her litterbox, under blankets or in cubbies looking for that safe space. We would recommend a home with no small children, just due to how unsure and scared she is right now. An owner with patients and love to give will get a lifetime of love and affection back. Wanda will be a loving companion in her new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
