Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This is Loki, god of mischief! He is a 2 year old, 6 lb Shih Tzu mix, full of curiosity and personality. He likes to explore everything, but he also likes to cuddle with his people.
He was extremely matted when he came to HT, so the groomer had to shave him. His hair is starting to grown back, and he will look more and more like a Shih Tzu mix. He loves to play with toys for his size and chew on bones. He is not scared of bigger dogs, and tries to take toys away from them, - luckily he's cute so they let him get away with it (most of the time). He is not shy in the least and is friendly with everyone he meets. He can be a little barky, so probably not a good candidate for apartment living. We think he would do okay with older
(10 yrs+) kids, but he would do fine in an adult only household. He is still working on his manners (he will fly and plop into your lap with no warning) and he is working on house training. He is housebroken and sleeps through the night in his crate. Loki will have you laughing at his antics, and smiling at his friendly nature. Loki has heartworms because he was not kept on heartworm prevention. Humane Tomorrow will pay for his treatment with one of our partner vets, and the treatments have been very successful. If you are interested in Loki, please complete an application and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Additional adoption info
All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.
Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats
Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs
The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.
Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.
