HI - I'M MACY! I'm a sweet and happy 6- to 7-year-old chocolate-and-white Labrador-Pit, mix, possibly with some Aussie thrown in. I have been waiting for two years for a home and am wondering why nobody wants me? I was rescued from a high-kill shelter where I had kennel mates! Now that I'm out, I like some dogs better than others, but would do best either as an only dog or possibly with a friendly male. I'm still very active, and so would love to be with a person or people who go for walks, hikes or other outings. I love the water and car rides and am a happy girl. I weigh about 50 lbs. We have an extensive application and spend time with potential applicants to make sure we match people with the right dogs. We also have a 100% return policy as we understand sometimes adoptions just do not work out.

Freedom Ride Rescue Inc. is an active 501(c)(3) animal rescue based in Ventura, Calif. We rescue dogs and cats primarily from overcrowded California shelters, and do our best to find wonderful homes for them. We also take in many owner surrenders every year. We adopt dogs to people in many states, and have a high success rate with our adoptions. We do our best to match people with the right dogs.
