My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Smokey! I was rescued near Downey with my 3 sisters, Slate, Shade, and Storm (we are all tabby's with different shades of gray coloring). We were taken to a foster with Smittens and bottle fed until we were old enough to eat on our own. I am so sweet, cute as a button, and playful. I really enjoy playing with my sisters and hope to be adopted with one of them. I especially love wand toys and lots of pets. I get along with dogs too. I can't wait to find my forever home!

Young kittens are adopted in pairs or in a home with another playful cat.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
