My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“Make sure everything you do is completely unbelievable!”
Hi, I’m Matilda! Can you believe a dog like me doesn’t have a home? It’s true. I was recently saved from a life of hardship on the streets of San Antonio. Covered in fleas and ticks, I was anemic and depressed. :( However, after just a day at SNIPSA, I am feeling like a whole new girl! SNIPSA’s kind staff gave me Nexgard and a nice warm bath to kill off all the buggies. Now that I’m completely itch-free, I’m ready to enjoy all the toys, food and belly rubs the world has to offer. At ten months old, I am also getting the hang of my puppy manners. I walk well on my leash, I am mostly quiet in my crate, and I’m quickly mastering my potty training. I’ll just need an owner devoted to training and, well, LOVING me! If you want to help me on this magical life journey, apply to meet me!

More about this rescue

SNIPSA is an organization formed by a group of veterinarians and caring individuals dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted animals in San Antonio and the surrounding area. SNIPSA does not have a standing shelter and depends on a core of volunteers to foster and rehabilitate animals in their homes. This provides us with the opportunity to learn first hand about the animal’s needs and behavior in order to facilitate an appropriate adoption. SNIPSA was incorporated in 2005 and has re-homed more than 3000 animals.
