My name is Kona!

My name is Kona and I am a sweet and affectionate standard poodle looking for a fur-ever home. I am 17 months old and weigh around 55 pounds (my parents are around 55 pounds so I am likely mostly done growing!). I previously lived in a situation where I spent long periods of time in my kennel and was not given much public socialization, so I am working on my confidence and socialization a little later in life. But that's ok! The family I live with now is super proud of me because I make progress on my anxieties and fears every day. I love playing keep away and fetch and going on walks where I meet new dogs. I am still uncomfortable on car rides and need some patience when being exposed to new environments and people, but with a little bit of patience I am a wonderful, loyal, affectionate companion. I like to cuddle (doesn't matter that I'm 55 pounds!) and really enjoy physical touch and connection. I am house trained too! I hope to meet you soon!
