My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Canandaigua, NY

Are you looking for the sweetest, most adorable tripod this side of the Mississippi!? Than look no further! Tippy is your gal!

Tippy unfortunately sustained a bad injury to her left front leg, and had to have her leg amputated, but don't worry, Tip is a resilient gal and goes on with life like nothing ever happened!

Tippy is currently living in a foster home with other dogs and cats. Tippy loves playing with her foster siblings of all shapes and sizes! She is doing ok with the cats, they can be fun to chase sometimes, so a home with dogs savvy cats or no cats is best for Tip!

Tippy loves to go and be with her people! She is up for any adventure you may need company for! Short hikes are best, unfortunately she can't going distance anymore. Tippy loves playing in the yard, chasing her foster siblings, rolling in the grass and doing all the fun things! Tip also has a great "off switch" and is happy to lay on the couch and watch a good movie on a cold, rainy, lazy day!

Tippy has very good house manners, and is crate trained and house trained. We have no history of Tippy living with kids, but a home with older kids would be best! Tippy still gets the excited zoomies and forgets she has to zoom around people!

Tippy is roughly 2 years old, spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Tippy was treated for heartworm before coming to her foster home and is off all her medications and restrictions!

Tippy is currently being fostered in Canandaigua NY

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
