My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Imerson is fostered in Ottumwa, Iowa.

This pretty little thing arrived into rescue with her momma.  Imerson is currently a 9 week old purebred red tri female Australian Shepherd.  She does have a tail. Her mother is in rescue as well, and she is 47 lbs.  We are not sure how big the Daddy is.  Imerson is an outgoing, happy puppy who will need a committed adopter that will continue the Rule of 12's for socializing.

Australian Shepherds require active persons who will provide 1 - 2 hours of mental and physical stimulation.  They also require adopters who are committed to exposing them to all kinds of stimulants so they are able to become well-rounded social pups.  She will need an adopter who is home more frequently or has a schedule that will allow for her continued potty training of being taken out on a regular basis.  Imerson is also working on crate training, learning new commands and learning new things with some interactive toys.

If you are an active, committed adopter looking for a young aussie pup, please visit our website to read more about our adoption process and complete an adoption application.  Imerson has began her vaccinations, has been dewormed, is microchipped and will be receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms.

NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org

Additional adoption info

Meeting any dog within MASR requires an approved adoption application on file. We process as quickly as possible via volunteers. Then connect an applicant one at a time with a dog and foster home to arrange a meet and greet. If all parties at the meet and greet, including the dog, are in agreement that it is a good fit, the dog goes home that day.
