Take the Pet Home
This helps Loved At Last Dog Rescue with pet care costs.
Hello everyone! Are you looking for a beautiful wee girl? I am Momo a, 8 year old female Chi cross. I weigh 13 pounds and stand 11 inches tall. I was a lifelong stray in S Korea before being adopted in Canada 3 years ago. Unfortunately, my adopter is having to move from a house to somewhere that may not allow pets. She is heartbroken but she knows that there is a kind and caring prospective adopter out there who will be an amazing adopter for me. Perhap's that's you?!
So here's an update on the marvelous me....my trusted humans always receive a warm welcome from me, bum wags included. I am not a gal who has ever been one to play with toys but I do like to hangout with the cat in my current home. My human says that she thinks we both look on the other as our litter mate! I am also well-mannered with the groomer and the vet. One thing about me is that I remain quite a nervous dog when out in the neighbourhood so it's important that I'm on a leash right beside my human. I also may need some leash-walking skills as my current humans have developed some health issues which prevents them from taking me for walks. I would love to have a calm, confident human who could take me walking in a quiet neighbourhood and then bring me home for a nap on a heating pad. Yes, you read this right. I'm often a chilly pup so I greatly enjoy warm naps on a heating pad. While I'm not known to be a huge cuddler, I have many other ways to show my humans how much I love them....and I would SO love to show you how much I am able to love!
HISTORY: Being a stray for so long, initially I was quite scared of strangers, (people are not always kind to strays), but while I spent so long with the wonderful people at WDK (I was heartworm positive, which was cleared Aug 18th, 2021) they gave me extensive socialization training. Slowly I have opened my heart to people. Initially shy at first, I am no longer wary with people. I am quite smart and have so much love to give. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buheyh_woAI&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JyEvqKOvAHMqE5inHj66tYl&index=1
If people approach me slowly and carefully, (especially if they have treats!) I allow them to pet me. Since younger children move quickly and are louder, they may startle me, so no kids under 12 please. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnBJ-H-SySo&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JyEvqKOvAHMqE5inHj66tYl&index=2.
If big dogs approach me, I may warn the other dog off, but when I know them, that is different and I don't mind being around them at all. Here is me meeting a big dog. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-p7my2y-XSE&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JyEvqKOvAHMqE5inHj66tYl&index=3 With little dogs I am much more welcoming, even if they are cranky little ones. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XucGtVuIOJU&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JyEvqKOvAHMqE5inHj66tYl&index=4. If you have a cat, that would be fine, I show no interest in them (but see above update on this). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWDuBilVNLI&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JyEvqKOvAHMqE5inHj66tYl&index=5
During walks, I follow my handler's lead quite well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9JxenBLVts&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JyEvqKOvAHMqE5inHj66tYl&index=7, though when scared I can resist moving sometimes. After building a strong bond, I can be recalled well off leash, but be wary because I was a stray for so long, I need to be kept on a leash until we have that bond.
My handler says I have a moderate amount of energy, and love spending time with affectionate people. She says I used to have some fear aggression, but after so much training I no longer show any aggression. I am very food motivated, which speaks well towards my trainability. I have not shown any resource guarding issues https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qp9xrBrtykY&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JyEvqKOvAHMqE5inHj66tYl&index=6, no separation anxiety and rarely bark.
So what do you say? Are you the home that will let me show how much love I have to give? Apply for me today!
I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee of $650 + tax, includes my airfare to Vancouver or Seattle.

As adopters of overseas dogs will be taking their dog home from the airport, they have a couple of weeks to decide if the dog is a fit.
