If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Moose is a sweet, loving, playful dog. Originally from a breeder in Oklahoma, he was adopted six years ago after his previous owner passed away when he was only 7 months old.
He loves going on long walks, hiking, running, and playing. He is very social and always excited to meet new people.
Moose knows all basic commands, and lots of tricks. He walks well on leash.
Moose gets a little lonely by himself, and would do best in a household where he isn’t alone 8+ hours per day. This is the primary reason he is being re-homed, as this is no longer possible in his current situation.
He loves to be outside, but needs a tall fenced-in yard, or must be on leash. He would probably not do well in a large apartment building.
He likes most dogs (except intact males), but may not thrive living with another dog. He needs, at the very least, to be fed alone if around other dogs. He was raised with cats, and gets along great with them. He has no issues with kids.
