Meet Pepper, an adorably sweet 5 year old male Chihuahua. His foster family says he’s the perfect dog, and it’s easy to see why! Pepper is both cuddly and fun. His favorite activity is curling up in a lap, but he also enjoys the occasional toy, getting zoomies around the yard and having little play sessions with his 40 lb foster sister. At just 13 lbs (with a pound or two to lose), Pepper is the perfect little companion.
Pepper has it all – he is free roam trustworthy, great with other dogs, and he has been doing well with house-training. And let’s not forget his adorable signature look – one ear up, one ear flopped over!
This sweet boy came from a hoarding home, and while he was very scared when he first arrived, he has blossomed into a wonderful little guy in less than a week with his foster family. He can still be a little nervous around new people or in new places, but with his trusted humans by his side, he can handle anything. He does well on leash when he’s comfortable enough to walk, but when he’s nervous, he prefers to be carried or to ride in a pouch. Due to his past, he’d do best in a home without young kids, where he can feel safe and secure.
