Shya is a 1 year 3 month old petite shepherd mix, weighing about 28lbs. She was found as a stray and taken to a shelter where she was due to be euthanized, but was saved by an emergency foster at the last minute. She now needs her forever home as soon as possible.
Shya is very sweet and loving, but timid and scared (submissive, non-aggressive), and needs someone with time and patience to help her learn to trust again. She settled into her foster home within a couple of hours, and is very playful with her foster mom. She loves cuddles and belly rubs! She does suffer from separation anxiety, and will need to be helped through this.
Shya gets on well with other dogs. Submissive and cautious at first, she loves to chase and be chased by small dogs, or dogs her own size. Wrestling is also great fun! She is good with large, chill dogs, but scared of boisterous dogs, or dogs that bark continually.
Her adoption fee will be donated to Paws For Life K9 Rescue in Mission Hills, CA.
