My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cricket
How`s it goin`? It`s goin` well for me because I live at the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe (SKCC). I am a 4-year-old male tabby cat, already neutered, and a litterbox master. My owner surrendered me to HSHC due to allergies in the family. We lived together for 2 1/2 years, and I was a happy guy. I lived with an 8-year-old boy, and we got along well. I even enjoyed cuddling with and grooming the 18-year-old dog in the home. Since coming to the SKCC, I have been the resident greeter to all the staff. I am 12 pounds of talkative love! The interviewer lady (IL) called my name, and I moseyed over to her for some pets. After a few moments, I was curled up on her lap and letting her rub my neck. Though I do not like being picked up (which may have something to do with my somewhat pendulous jungle pouch), I am crazy about sitting in laps and being held! My love for children and dogs is a testament to my social skills. You can`t go wrong with adopting me. I`m a winner! 11-15-24

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
